The group on our lunch rock: Susan, Marion, Robert, Dan, Ken.
A doe and two fawns crossed the river while we ate lunch.
A great blue heron flew onto a branch while we walked underneath.
Asiatic Dayflower (Commelina communis), found on many of the sandbars.
Thallose liverworts, showing a female gametophore in the top right, and numerous gemma cups
containing tissue that is dispersed by rain for asexual reproduction.
Another thallose liverwort, growing flat against a rock.
A fungus which was covering much of a large tree trunk, possibly Stereum ostrea (False Turkey Tail).
Coprinus quadrifidus (Scaly Inky Cap).
