Environmental Stewardship

There are many simple ways you can become active in protecting our environment through your own environmental stewardship. Try going out on an invasive plant removal; follow the tips on food sustainability; take reusable bags when you shop. Or, learn about deer management practices and talk to your local parks department to see if you can get involved.

Learn more and educate others by goings on outings, or leading them. Learn about the effects of water pollution on a guided kayak trip, or see how coal plants are detrimental to environmental and human health on an inner city hike.

If you are feeling determined, look at the land preservation tool kit for ways you as an individual can prevent land from being developed. However you decide to help protect this earth, you can take pride in the fact that you have provided valuable opportunities for future generations to enjoy and explore all of our natural wonders.
